Murgatroyd, disguises himselfas simple farmer Robin Oakapple while his younger brother assumed the title and the curse. Betrayed by his foster brother, Robin is discovered and must take on the responsibility of committing a crime every day to appease the curse and the ghosts of all his past ancestors. Robin is in love with beautiful Rose Maybud and wants to wed her and lead an honest life. Somehow Robin must find a way to break the witch's curse, or their future is doomed.
